The family regrets to announce Chum’s peaceful passing on September 8th, 2023 at the age of 74. Chum was the son of the late Cecil and Ruby (Reid) Campbell.
As a young man Chum worked on the lake boats. He next worked as a carpenter until hired by Sydney Steel where he stayed until its closure. Chum and his family then moved to Kenora for 15 years where Chum worked as a security manager. He also took great care of their homes and yards wherever they lived. Retirement returned him to his beloved Cape Breton, where he enjoyed fishing, hunting, berry picking and more. Chum’s generosity to friends and neighbours will also be remembered.
Chum will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 47 years, Pauline (Raoul) Campbell, children; Annette and Kirk, grandchildren; Isaiah, Rhys, Sunshine, and Tucker, his sister Valerie Sampson (Robert). He was predeceased by his parents and brother Jim (Terry) Campbell.
Cremation has taken place, there will be no visitation or service.
The family wish to thank the VON, Meadow Pharmasave and the ICU for their care and concern.
