It is with heavy hearts the Pye family announces the sudden passing of Cecil Pye at age 66. Cecil
passed away May 23 rd at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Cecil was born August 2 nd , 1954 in Sydney Mines, Nova Scotia.
Cecil was a musician who played both the guitar and accordion, he was also a wonderful singer.
He was an avid hunter and fisher in the licensed months. Cecil loved long drives where he would then visit his friends and family.
Cecil was a devoted worker. For years he was employed at the Nickleon boat. Throughout hislifetime he also worked hard at the fish plant.
Cecil is predeceased by his beloved parents Leonard and Eliza (Prince). Cecil is survived by his loving sisters Caroline, Helen, Jean (Fred), Eleanor (Joe), Florence (Bob), and Violet (Doug);His dear brothers Joey (Tammy) and Freddy (Kim); His close friend Tracy; His god daughters
Megan and Chloe; And his many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents Cecil is predeceased by his brothers Lenny and Albert; His sisters Diane and
Mary; His niece Eliza; His nephews Troy and Lenny. Cecil is also predeceased by his forever love of twenty-four years Mary MacDonald.
Cecil will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He was loved dearly.
The family would like to take time to thank the nurses and doctors on floor 4-A at the CapeBreton Regional Hospital.
Cremation for Cecil has already been overseen at Forest Haven. As requested by Cecil before his
passing there will be no public service or visitation.
