Cecilia Emeline Pottie

Pottie Cecilia Emmeline, age 80, passed away peacefully in the MacGillivray Guest Home on Nov 30, 2024 a resident of 7 years. Born in L’Ardoise on Jan 20th 1944 she was a daughter of the late George and Catherine Pottie.

She was raised with her brothers Francis and twin brother Leroy, Lauchie and Cyril, her sister Jane. 

Besides her parents, Cecilia is predeceased by her brothers Richard, Andrew, Victor and Joseph as well as sister Cassie.

Cecilia was a loving sister who loved to cook for her family and enjoyed family gatherings especially for Christmas, Easter and other holidays. Cecelia also loved to babysit her nephews. She was a devoted Catholic who loved to say the rosary and would always lend a helping hand to anyone, and she loved to go for walks.

Cremation has been carried out and a burial will be held at a later date. Donations in Cecilia’s memory may be made to the MacGillivray Guest Home where she was well cared for by the nurses and staff. Expressions of sympathy may be made by visiting www.foresthaven.ca.
