Deborah Boyd

It is with tremendous sadness we announce Deborah Jane Boyd lost her courageous battle with cancer on January 16th, 2021 surrounded by her children.
Debbie was born to Carl and Esther Roberts on January 29th, 1952 in Shelburne, NS. She was a loving and nurturing mother and grandmother, a devoted wife and a beloved sister. Debbie was a very funny, happy woman who loved to travel the world and she will be missed for her kindness and honesty.
Debbie is survived by her three children: sons Christopher (Katie) Boyd, Matthew (Barbara) Boyd, and daughter Karla (Clayton) Leonard, her brother Dwight (Pamela) Roberts, four grandchildren: Xander, Hunter, Joshua, and Lydia, nieces and nephews, and loyal pets Molly and Scout. She was predeceased by her husband, Terrance, parents Carl and Esther, and younger brother David.
Many thanks to the staff in oncology and palliative care at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Cremation has taken place and there will be no memorial service. In lieu of flowers or cards, donations can be made to the SPCA ​or one’s charity of choice.
