Eileen Ann Taylor - Balls Creek

It is with painful sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Eileen Ann (Sweet) Taylor on Sunday, June 21, 2020 at the age of 87 in the Cape Breton Regional Hospital with her son Kirk at her side. Eileen was born in the old Glace Bay General Hospital on December 20, 1932. She spent her early years in New Aberdeen with her parents, the late Charles Alden and Annie Bridget (Caan) Sweet. Sadly she was predeceased by her husband Victor Lester; sons Charles Lester and Roy Lewis;  sisters Muriel, Gloria, Edie, Lydia and Mary. She is survived by son Kirk, Balls Creek; brother Raymond, Bobcaygeon, Ontario as well as several grand & great grandchildren.

Eileen was famous among family and friends for her wonderful meals as she had a natural gift in the kitchen. She was well loved for her gentle manner. Like her birth name, she was “sweet”.

We would like to thank all the doctors and nurses here in Nova Scotia and Ontario who helped her health issues. She received a lot of wonderful care over the past several years and it is sincerely appreciated. Cremation has taken place and she will be laid to rest at a later date.
