Frederick James DeYoung

We regret to announce the death of Frederick James DeYoung aged 77 born in Sydney, NS December 5, 1945.  He was the son of Etta (Moffatt) and Ralph DeYoung.  Predeceased by his brother Roland Bruce DeYoung and both parents.  Survived by his niece Tara Charters and many extended relatives and friends who were like family to him. 

 Fred was a long time member of the Sydney Curling Club where he ran the youth program for several years, he also coached several teams over the years.   He spent many years employed at Tartan Downs as the photo finish photographer.  He will be greatly missed by many in his community.  In honour of Fred’s wishes cremation has taken place and a graveside service will take place at a later date.
