Gordon "Brother" McInnis

November 7, 1943 — March 2, 2021

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our father, grandfather, brother, and uncle.
“Brother” aged seventy-seven passed away on March 2, 2021 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Glace Bay, Brother was the son of Gordon and Lillian McInnis (nee French).
Gordon was formerly employed as a Machinist at Shaw & McDonald and worked with Highland Fisheries, both in Glace Bay.

Brother had a unique sense of humor. He loved to sing and enjoyed spending time with friends and family laughing.
In his younger years Brother spent a lot of time at the Main event, where he established many friendships. He even had his own seat there referred to as Brother’s seat and there was an understanding that no-one else sat there.
He could fix or “rig” anything up. He would work for hours, even days to accomplish the task.

Brother is survived by his former partner, Joann Turner, and her husband Barry. His two daughters, Angela/Leo and Erin/ Bobby. His grand-children, Victoria, Kayleigh, and Kendall. Brothers Blair/Tracy, Michael, and Eddy/Elaine.
Besides his parents Brother was predeceased by his sisters Patricia and Rosalie; and brother Johnny.
Gordon was also predeceased by his two fur babies, which whom he adored, Roxie (Rooster), and Alley Cat.
