It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our loving wife, mother, aunt and friend Helen MacPherson at New Waterford Hospital, with her husband Dougie MacPherson at her side. At the age of 70.
Born in New Waterford on December 29, 1949 to Tootsi MacLean ( Dupe) was raised by Clara and Tommy Hawley. Who are deceased.
She lived in Toronto for many years where she did volunteer work for the Parkdale Homeless shelter. Where she was a cook.
Helen enjoyed going to bingo with her best friend Gina MacPhee and enjoyed time with her friend Gina Bennett.
She enjoyed baking, cooking, and watching game shows.
Helen loved listening or watching anything to do with Elvis Presley Especially when her husband Dougie dressed up as Elvis.
Helen loved Animals and had many cats and dogs who she loved over the years.
Helen's main love in her life was her loving husband Dougie MacPherson and her family meant the world to her.
Along with her husband Dougie, she leaves behind her sons, Todd Dupe, Troy Dupe; sisters Lorrie Mac Lean, Kathy MacLean; brother Larry MacLean, and her favorite nephew Jamie MacLean; grandchildren , Kristine (Ryan) Milligan, Heather (Kris) Davis and Jacob Davis Dupe. Her greatgrandbabies Keira, Sabrina, Jade Shenoah and Mya Davis; father in law Frank MacPherson; as well as sister and brother in laws; Debbie Carew-Coady and Bruce Coady, Stephen and Niecie MacPherson, Frankie and Marie MacPherson, Marie Osmond and Kevin Roach, Curtis MacPherson and Phyllis Boutilier, Sandra MacPherson and Ernie Forchan, Melinda and Raymond Carrigan, Rita and Brent McMullin and her Loving aunt Eloise Dupe.
Also Leaving behind is Helen's very special niece and Goddaughter, (Sweetpea) Kimberly Aucoin.
Helen you have left us with a life time of memories, lessons, love, laughter and joy that will never be forgotten.
We would like to thank the Palliative care workers, the Von Workers, Dr Farrell, Dr Lang, and all the Nurses at New Waterford Hospital, especially the nurses on second floor who took excellent care of Helen.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Forest Haven and expressions of sympathy may be left by selecting the "Condolences" tab above.
