Jean Patricia Bona

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our mother Jean Bona, on May 30th, 2023 daughter of the late Velma and Daniel Bona. Jean was born in Glace Bay Feb 11,1958.

Jean leaves behind four children Amie (George) Sharon, Joey (Ashley) Margie (Derrick)  She was a doting Nana to Lucas, Nadya, Nicholas, Jacob, Avery, Austin, Hannah, Skye, Eric and Ethan 

Jean is now reunited with Tom Rudderham and her two brothers Gordon, Joe and her grandson Zach. 

Left to mourn are her siblings, Sheldon, Mary (Albert), Lorna (Barry), Janet (Francis), Twin sister Joan (Alex), Audrey (David) ,Cathy (Wayne), Adrian (Kate), Michele (Kevin) and sister-in-law Gwen, and many nieces and nephews.

Jean was not only a Doting Nana but a fabulous cook and baker. Her pies, rolls and lasagna will be forever desired and leave many empty bellies. 

Her moto in life was” no fuss No muss “Mom was truly the most selfless person we have ever known.

She will forever be missed by many. There will be a celebration of life at a later date.

Memorials may be made to the diabetic association or to a charity of your choice.
