Joeanne Susan McNeil

It is with great sadness the family of Joeanne Susan McNeil (MacPhee, Fitzgerald) of Sydney, share Joeanne’s sudden passing at home on January 30, 2023. 

Joeanne was predeceased by her husband Cordell McNeil, her mother Annie Boudreau (Fitzgerald, Fricker), her brother Andrew Fitzgerald in infancy, several uncles and aunts and maternal and paternal grandparents.

Joeanne is survived by her father Joseph (Helen) Fitzgerald, her loving sister Catherine Ward (Fitzgerald), her loving brother Kelley (Jody) Fitzgerald , step-daughter Lesley (Troy) Corbett and her grandsons whom she adored Thomas and Troy Corbett. Also her nephews Andrew (Ashley) Fitzgerald and children, Rebecca, Peyton, Kennedy and Macklin, Kyle (Stephanie) Fitzgerald and children Aurora, Kyson and Amara, and Anthony (Mandy) Fitzgerald and children Ivy Rose and Axle. Also her fur babies Kenzie and Kody who miss her dearly.

At her request there will be no visitation, service or funeral.  Cremation has taken place under the direction of Forest Haven Memorial Gardens. 

In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the kidney foundation, stroke foundation or a charity of your choice in her honour.

We the family would like to thank the Cape Breton Regional Renal Clinic for all the loving, support and care shown to Joeanne over the years.
