Kirk Boutilier

We regret to announce the passing of Kirk Douglas Boutilier on August 25 th due to complications of lung
and heart disease. Formerly of Port Caledonia, Kirk was born in 1958, the son of the late Jean and James
(Jim) Boutilier.

Kirk is survived by his loving son Brandon Thompson Boutilier (Jessie Martin), sister-in-law
Jeanie, and many uncles and aunts, nephews and nieces, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by
his wife Brenda and brother Warren.

Known to hit a long ball in golf and baseball, his greatest talent was
music. Kirk was happiest when spending time with his friends and family, playing guitar and singing.
Employed at Stream and as a Glace Bay taxi driver for many years, Kirk made lasting friendships. Facing
many health challenges during his lifetime, Kirk did not complain but showed a positive spirit and offered
a helping hand to many. He will be deeply missed.

Cremation has taken place with burial at St. Luke’s
Anglican Church to be held at a future date.
