Leona LeBlanc

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our loving Leona LeBlanc of Sydney on Monday, September 27, 2021 with her husband and family by her side.

Leona will be sadly missed by her loving husband Bert LeBlanc and two daughters Myrna Phillips (Sydney) and Crystal Wall (Jason) of Bateston. Also, Leona had four grandsons, Devin Rutherford, Kodey MacArthur, Hunter and Logan Doucet.  Also, Leona had two great-grandchildren Alyssa and Gaige whom she dearly loved. Leona had several step-children. She also had loving sisters Charlene Costello (Halifax), Michelle Bonnell (Sydney) and brothers Lorne Costello (Kathy) Vancouver and Gordon Costello (Debbie) Sydney. As well, a very special friend Linda Hatfield (Sydney).

Leona was the daughter of the late Gordon and Dorothy (Gallant) Costello.

We would like to give a special thanks to the doctors and caring nurses of the Palliative Care Unit who have given her exceptional care through her long battle. Also, thanks to the VON and Homecare.

A  service  will be held on Monday, October 4, 2021 at 1 pm at Forest Haven Memorial Gardens with Rev. Sheldon Chant officiating.

A celebration of Leona’s life will be held at a later date
