Linda Coombes

It is with a heavy heart and profound sadness that we share with you the passing of our Mother, Partner, Sister, Friend and Earth Angel, Mary Linda (MacKenzie) Coombes on March 18, 2021.

Linda was predeceased by Her parents Mary Margaret (Kelly) MacKenzie, Earl Cecil MacKenzie and her sister Darlene MacKenzie.

Linda is survived by Her husband “Jack” John Aulden Coombes, Her three sons, Jason (Lindsay), Kenzie and Christian (Jessie), Her brothers Earl (Diane), Allen (Joan) and Darrell (Cheryl) as well as Her many nieces and nephews and friends.

Linda enjoyed being with Her loved ones, hugs, creating inspiring poems and paintings, listening to music and connecting with nature.

Although Linda’s body was ill, She had a healthy and positive way of living with hope and peace right until her passing.

Linda passed at home in her bed peacefully, surrounded by husband and children’s Love.

We miss her in body but we always will carry the Love and Joy she shared with us in our time together.

A private gathering will be held for Her family, friends and loved ones, where we will mourn our loss, pay our respects and celebrate Her life and the joy and happiness we have shared together. Memorial donations or gifts can be directed to the Glace Bay Food Bank. (Link below)
