Lorne Roger Edmunds

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our dad Lorne ‘Bud’ Edmunds, of Millville at the age of 80.  He passed away peacefully at Northside General Hospital on Tuesday, September 5, 2023. 

Born April 17, 1943 in North Sydney to the late Arthur and Minnie (Ivey-Maloney).  He was predeceased by the love of his life, his wife Sylvia (MacAskill) whom he missed every day.  He was also predeceased by sisters; Valda, Ruth, Carol (Raymond MacLean), Arthena (Fritz Tobin), Gloria (Dennis Maloney), brothers; Seaward and Vern.  He is survived by his loving children Lorne and Tina White (Rick Chiasson) and one sister Georgina (Dennis MacDonald).  He leaves behind his grandsons; Michael, Harley, Alan, Mitchell and 5 great grandchildren.  He is also survived by many sisters and brothers-in-law, daughter-in-law Donna, many nieces and nephews; whom he loved dearly.

Da often talked about growing up in Big Harbour where he would love to hunt and fish.  He also enjoyed driving tractor trailer for CN Rail for 18 years and then worked for Marine Atlantic until his retirement.

Cremation has taken place at Forest Haven Memorial Gardens and there will be no service as this was Dad’s request.
