Elaine Ashe
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Elaine Ashe, age 72, on October 15, 2020 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
Born in St. Peter’s NS on March 1, 1948. She was the daughter of the late Everett and Lucy MacMullin.
She is survived by son Darren (Leslie) Digby, Daughter Kim O’Connell Glace Bay, and Dawn Farrell Glace Bay. Brothers Murdock MacMullin, and Terry (Heather) MacMullin. Sisters Gail (Charlie), and Thelma (Eddie) Hill. Grandchildren Emily, Abby, Robert, Haley and Zachery. And many nieces and nephews.
Elaine loved spending time with her family and friends playing darts, cards, and travelling. Elaine was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She really enjoyed the yearly cousin get togethers and get always with her daughters and sisters. Elaine loved family trips to the Annapolis Valley and truly enjoyed herself, but we all knew she most enjoyed watching all who loved her succeed.
Her sharp sense of wit, off the wall comments, and sense of humor will be greatly missed but always remembered.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Forrest Haven Memorial Gardens. No visitation by request. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Cancer Care Centre, or Palliative Care Unit.
Funeral will be on October 24th 1pm at St. Anne’s Catholic Church Glace Bay, Followed by a family burial at Forest Haven Memorial Gardens.
