It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Pamela Aiden Pye, 75, of Florence, who died Saturday, November 7, 2020 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. She was the daughter of the late George and Kaye Mansfield, Florence.
Anyone who knew Pam, was aware that her family was the most important thing in her life. She lived her life providing, supporting and sacrificing for her family because she loved them so deeply. She enjoyed the simplest pleasures in life like spending time with her grandkids, Monday night bowling with the girls, bingo, time at the beach, talking on the phone with family and friends, Walmart runs with Tammy and visiting with Betty and her budgie for chats.
She is survived by her daughters, Tammy (Greg) Jabalee, Tracey (Sean) MacDonald, son, John (Wanda) Pye, and seven grandchildren (Logan, Cole, Aidan, Riley, Jordan, Mackenzie and Kaiden. Also left to mourn are her three sisters, Lynn (Brian) Dunn, Kaye (Ken) Lewis, and Holly Ann, and her three brothers, Lecky (Del), Brady and Danny. On behalf of the family, we would like to say a special thanks to Betty Simpson for being such a great friend and support to our mother.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Herbie, husband, Herbert, sisters Polly Cassidy and Jackie Ball, and brother Nicky Mansfield. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Forest Haven with no visitation by request. She will be laid to rest at the Brookside Cemetery, next to her son, husband and twin sister. Donations in Pam’s memory can be made to the Sydney Mines Food Bank.
