Robert Morrison

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our dad, brother, grandfather, and uncle, Robert (Bamp) Morrison at his home in Baddeck surrounded by his family on June 5, 2021.

Robert was born in Baddeck and lived most of his life in town or nearby. He worked at the Department of Transportation and received a long service award for his many decades working to keep our roads safe. Robert helped establish the Middle River Volunteer Fire Department as a member and fire chief. Dad enjoyed playing bingo with his good friend and neighbor April and his daily visits with close friend Frankie.

Robert was survived by his daughter Terry (Clarence) Parsons, grandchildren Robert & Chelsey whom he was very proud of and loved very much, sister Una, Brother A.J (Judy) and many nieces and nephews. Robert was predeceased by his parents Dan Angus and Margaret (Macdonald) Morrison, sister Sally, brother in-law Monty, niece Jane, nephews Angus, Barry and cousin Betty.

We would like to thank all the staff of the Victoria County Memorial Hospital in Baddeck who were wonderful to Dad; Dr. Genge, Victoria County Home Support and Home Care, Dr. Ritter and Paulette who made Dad's wishes of going home happen.

Dad was a quiet man so in keeping with his wishes there will be no visitation or funeral.

We will miss him very much. A family graveside burial will take place at a later date.
