It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of Robert David Puddicombe, 65, on October 18, 2021 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, NS. Born in Sydney, he was the son of Robert Puddicombe and Marjorie (Shaw) Puddicombe. Robert's smile and laughter brought happiness and smiles to everyone that had the pleasure of meeting and knowing him, they were contagious.
Robert found calmness and peace when visiting the beach, he would just sit and relax and take it all in, waves, salt air and just pure relaxation. Robert also enjoyed car rides, especially ones that resulted in a stop to get a Diet Pepsi. Robert loved sitting and relaxing in the evening watching all the old game shows like, Jeoparty and Wheel of Fortune to name just a few!
He is survived by brothers William (Bill) Puddicombe (Shirley), Frenchvale, NS and Robert MacLean (Bonnie), Charlottletown, PEI; sisters Florence Anthony (Jack) Hamilton, ON. and Lisa Puddicombe (Ed), Sydney, NS. Bobby was predeceased by his parents Robert and Marjorie.
There will be no visitation. Internment will take place at Forest Haven Memorial Gardens, Grand Lake Rd., Sydney, NS on Saturday Oct. 23rd at 2 PM.
The family would like to thank the staff of the CBRH’s IMCU and Unit 4C for the exceptional care Bobby received.
Also, a huge thank you to the staff at Breton Ability and his Chapel St. family in North Sydney for their love and support given to Bobby over the years. The family is eternally grateful.
