It is with a very heavy heart that we the family of Rose Stella DeGiobbi 79 announce her passing on August 28, 2021 after a long illness. She was born June 18,1942 in New Waterford, the daughter of Salvatore and Mary Catherine DeGiobbi.
Rose was predeceased by her parents Salvatore and Mary Catherine , brothers Gregory, Raymond, Sister Caroline and step son Blair.
She is survived by her loving partner Elton Martin, children Tommy (Pearl) Susan (Charlie) Karen (David) Sheldon (Nancy) Shannon (Randy) Cindy (Rene) Lisa (Marc).
Step Children, Kathy (Wayne) Wanda (Barry) Elton Jr. (Valerie) 25 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren. Brothers John (Kay) Anthony (Margie) Michael (Joan) Brian, Tommy (Sharon) and one sister Shirley (Albert).
Rose loved to cook, she would always cook the best meals for her family and friends. She was the head cook at the New Waterford Hospital for over 25 years. Rose was a member of the Army Navy Airforce.
Rose enjoyed watching her favorite soap opera’s along with her cooking shows. Rose loved to travel to Ontario to visit her children and grandchildren.
We would like to thank Palliative Care Unit at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital for taking such great care of Rose . We would also like to thank the Dialysis Unit for always ensuring Rose was given the absolute best care.

Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Forest Haven Memorial Gardens.
Please join the family in the celebration of Life for Rose On Thursday September 2, 2021 at 10:00am St Leonard’s Church.
Reception will be held at 12:00pm at the Army Navy New Waterford.
Covid restrictions will be in place.
