Rosemary Reid

Rosemary Reid, 88, Dominion, Passed away peacefully on October 25, 2022 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital with family by her side.

She was predeceased by her husband Alvin Reid, sons; Bill and Glenn,  parents Cassie and Andrew Turnbull, sisters; Marion and Mary.

Survived by daughters Marie (Clarie), Corinne, Sons David and Michael, grandchildren Scott, Linda (Mark), Ryan, Jessie (Adam), Tanya, Adrienne, and Katie (who she considered a granddaughter), great-grandchildren Riley, Aidan, Liam, Brandon, Tessa, and Addison.  Mom was excited about becoming a Great Great Grandmother to a baby boy named Lachlan in December, sisters-in-law Murdena (Jack) Young, and Corinne Tutty, and the many nieces and nephews who she loved. Janet (Gary) from Connecticut, USA and Harriette (Don) who she loved and considered a daughter.

Mom was kind, caring and a wonderful friend. She was a fantastic baker, seamstress and knitter.  A military wife that took her away to Germany, C.F.B. Gagetown and Halifax.  After Dad retired, she returned to her Cape Breton family home.  Mom was the oldest living grandchild of William Davis.

Survived by special friends who were more like family than friends, Gary MacCuish, Judy Lancaster, Linda Bezanson, Anna MacDonald, Has and Sharon McNeil.

Thank you to City Homemakers whom she adored and had many laughs with, ICU Cape Breton Regional Hospital, V.O.N, Dr. David Ley, Glace Bay Hospital 3S & 3W.

Cremation has taken place under the guidance of Forest Haven Memorial Gardens. A private family service will he held at a later date.
