Sharon MacKenzie

We, the family of Teresa “Sharon” MacKenzie (Moore), regret to announce the passing of our beloved mother and sister. Sharon passed away February 9th, 2025, peacefully at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, NS, at the age of 71. Sharon spent her career in restaurant management.

 Sharon was the daughter of the late Sidney and Rodina Moore (MacKeigan), Sydney Mines.

Sharon is survived by her only child, Christopher MacKenzie (Darlene) and four sisters, Rosemary (Lewis) King, Maureen Moore, Elva MacKinnon, and Colleen Moore. Sharon was predeceased by her two brothers Robert and Kevin as well as brother in law Joseph MacKinnon. She is also survived by her nephews Trevor King, Shannon Hennessey, Charles and Aaron MacKinnon, nieces Roberta Lomax, Danielle Moore-Walsh, Jillian and Alaura Moore and Natasha Jessome. Sharon is survived by 12 grand nieces and nephews, Tyson, Tiffany, Brock, Josh, Kendra, Allyson, Brielle, William, Mairead, Tristan, Madden, Jackson and Jenson. She has left behind her greatest friend Josephine Laurendeau.

 Cremation has taken place under the direction of Forest Haven Memorial Gardens & Crematory.

Burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery at a later date.
